Josefin participated in our April Challenge as she decided it was time for her to make a change. She got tired of not wanting to go shopping because she avoided trying clothes on. She found inspiration from the Swedish version of Top Shape 30 and decided to give it a try. After her commitment to herself and her health for 30 days she became one of our success stories & she has now found her goal of wanting to become a Spinning Instructor.
What made you sign up for the challenge?
After a long time of gaining weight I just got to a point where I felt it was time for a change. What made me go for the challenge was a picture from a previous participant from Sweden that reminded me a lot of the way I looked and I just felt, if she could do it then why can’t I?
What inspired you to change your life & begin your transformation journey?
When I no longer wanted to buy clothes because I was avoiding trying them on and realizing I had gained even more weight I knew it was time for a change. I saw all these fit people on tv and writing blogs etc. and I just felt, that could be me. But the only one who can change it is you, and that is what I did.
Did it make any lifestyle changes – did you learn anything new throughout your 30 days?
Yes! I think the two prior changes that I made was the way I worked out and how I ate. Before the challenge I used to eat a lot of snacks, but now I just eat at the times when you’re supposed to and I am never feeling hungry anymore! The workout is also really great because I haven’t been going to the gym very much before and this really gave me a great base of strength exercises that I am using every day now. I also started to eat much more protein and realized how much sugar I ate before, I simply just got healthier and more aware of what I’m eating!
Tell us about the greatest challenge you faced. How did you overcome that challenge?
How do you go from going to the gym perhaps 3 times a week to everyday? Well it was really hard in the beginning! But my determination to make it and my mind set on my goals I made it pretty far. I find a lot of inspiration in different blogs but mostly though music. If I didn’t feel like going to the gym I turned on music that I use when working out and unconsciously after a while I just couldn’t wait to go there! I also found a lot of support and inspiration thorough top shapes facebook page and blog posts, when I didn’t feel like it there was always someone else who made me remember why I wanted to go.
Describe the results you achieved with your Top Shape 30 program. Which achievements are you proud of?
I am a completely new person and I have never felt better in my entire life! I have so much more energy now than before and I feel good about myself! I have set up new goals for myself in the future and one of my dreams is to become a spinning instructor. I have lost fat and gained myself and my confidence. Do I have to mention I love it?
Would you do it again?
Yes definitely! This program is one of the best things that have ever happened to me! I have control over my life again and I feel so great!
