How to Prevent Muscle Soreness.
Are you feeling muscle soreness after your workout? If you are participating in the Top Shape program you probably started feeling the muscle soreness after the first few days. It is most frequently felt when you start a new exercise routine/program. However, don’t worry.
Muscle soreness which also is called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is caused by microscopic tearing of muscle fibers. The soreness come from various movements made that your body aren’t used to doing.
So you are most likely thinking how can I treat or avoid muscle soreness? There is no proven effective way of avoiding the soreness. In regards to an Australian study conducted in 2007 stretching, which has been a long found way of reducing muscle soreness, is found not to be effective in reducing the aching.
However, here is a few tips of how you can heal your muscles more effectively:
1 Hydrate Yourself: By drinking water you not only hydrate your thirst but also nourish your joints. See water as your magic source of nourishment for your body.
2 Get Your Sleep: Get your good night sleep. If you don’t get the proper sleep your body will be in recovery mode when you start your day. Meaning that your body is healing from not getting the proper break it needs to refuel itself.
3 Nutrition is Your Fuel: Fuel yourself with the right nutrition. If you don’t eat nutritious food your body won’t heal properly. The nutrients you feed yourself with makes up a large portion of how your muscles will heal. Additionally, nutrition is your main foundation for overall health & shape toning.
